90ml warm milk
115g castor sugar
100g brown sugar
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1 tbsp cornflour
230g all-purpose flour
Green food color (optional)
Crushed Oreo cookies
Preheat and Prepare:
Preheat your oven or microwave to 180 degrees Celsius. This is where the magic happens!
Brew the Matcha:
In 90ml of warm milk, mix 1/2 tsp of Matcha powder from @heapwellsuperfoods. Let the Matcha infuse its flavors into the milk.
Cream the Butter and Sugars:
In a mixing bowl, cream together 170g of butter with 115g of castor sugar and 100g of brown sugar until smooth and fluffy.
Incorporate the Dry Ingredients:
Add 1 tsp of baking soda, 1 tsp of baking powder, 1 tbsp of cornflour, and 230g of all-purpose flour to the butter-sugar mixture. Gently mix using the cut and fold method.
Introduce the Matcha Magic:
Pour in the brewed Matcha mixture and gently mix. For a pop of color, you can add a few drops of green food color (optional).
Enhance with Oreo Goodness:
Throw in a generous amount of crushed Oreo cookies into the dough and mix well. This is where the cookie adventure gets exciting!
Chill and Shape:
Chill the dough in the refrigerator for about an hour. Once chilled, roll the dough into 60g balls. The anticipation builds!
