If you are someone who loves to gorge on breads more often, you might still get bored becauseof the same taste. So, Heapwell has come to your rescue by providing the fresh and distinctiveflavour with their finest matcha. Add a 1 and half spoon of Matcha to your Braided breadpreparation and you are done. It will be your favourite, flavourful bread from now on!
Ingredients:
All Purpose Flour/Maida - 3 cups
Instant Yeast - 2 ¼ tsp
Salt - 1 tsp
Cardamom Powder - ½ tsp
Warm Water - ½ cup
Warm Milk - ¾ cup
Unsalted Butter - 3 tbsp
Sugar - ¼ cup
Milk - 2 tbsp for brushing
Filling:
Unsalted Butter - 4 tbsp
Sugar - ½ cup
Heapwell Finest Matcha - 1 ½ tbsp
Method:
●In a bowl, whisk flour and salt. Set aside.
●Mix in 1 tbsp sugar, warm water and warm milk.
●Add in instant yeast and let it sit for 5 minutes.
●Once it’s frothy, add it to dry ingredients.
●Add in butter and sugar.
●Mix everything together and make a dough.
●If the dough is too sticky and 1 more tbsp flour.
●Place the dough on a work surface and dust in some flour.
●Knead it for 5-8 minutes.
●Place in a bowl and cover it.
●Let it sit in a warm place for an hour or until it’s doubled in size.
●Once doubled, punch back and roll on the work surface.
●Roll it to ¼ inch thick.
●Prepare the filling by mixing butter, sugar and heapwell finest matcha.
●Spread the filling on the rolled dough leaving 1 inch gap in the edges.
●Roll the dough from one end to another.
●Use a knife and cut in the middle.
●Overlap one above the other. Refer to picture.
●Prepare a loaf tin by applying butter.
●Place the dough in the tin and let it raise for an hour.
●Preheat the oven to 180 C for 15 minutes.
●Brush the bread with milk.
●Bake the bread for 40-45 minutes, until the top is golden brown color.
●Take out the bread and brush it with milk. To make it glossy.
●Serve warm.
